Laura • A Fun Fashion Bridal at Sunny Acres

Saturday, July 24th, 2010

When the opportunity came up to photograph Laura again…of course I said YES! It was even more of a bonus that she brought her friend Jessica. I have two wedding dresses I have been trying to destroy for months! My good friend and fellow photographer Missy Brown joined us at the shoot, soooooo be on the look out for her images as well. I am sure you can also find her on Facebook! That day wore me out, but was a blast!

We were also blessed with beautiful flowers from Chris Dayton of Colonial Design and Florist – Flowers.

Brandy Doyle rocked out the hair as usual. We wanted a more natural bohemian look compared to last time when it was very high fashion.

I love how this images is very soft yet has dramatic lights and and shapes of the trees.

Colonial Designs of St. Matthews were just soooo fabulous!

Jessica who is still new in the industry was sooo wonderful. She takes directions like a champ! (You will see more of Jessica in the next post! )

Ailsa & Scott • A Wedding By J.Guess Photography

Wednesday, June 9th, 2010

On Saturday I had to pleasure to photograph Ailsa & Scott’s Wedding! It was amazing and the weather turned out in our favor! It was a little windy, but I will take wind OVER rain any day!

Ailsa and Scott chose to see each other and get as many portraits done before the wedding as possible. I love “First Looks” it allows for time for the couple to see each other and have more time together on their big day!

One of my favorite moments during any ceremony, is the moment the groom sees his bride come down the aisle. It is just so wonderful and significant! It never matters if the couple has seen each other all day, that moment, it is just like WOW and emotionally powerful!

Ailsa was stunning!

I loved the mixture of nature and architecture of the Belvedere location.

I had over 100 pictures set aside to blog, if I had to pick just one, the one below would be my favorite! (Even with the lookie-loos in the background!)

Their reception took place at the Muhammad Ali Center Downtown. It has the most amazing view of the river, while you can see the bridges it still just feels so natural and green, but still modern (and Indoors!)

Every little detail was perfectly in place.

This is on the balcony on the river side of the building. I just loved the sunset! I couldn’t have planned a better one!
