Megan & Victor • A Wedding By J.Guess Photography

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

This past Saturday I photographed Megan and Victors Wedding at KYE’s in Southern Indiana. Once again the weather held out, with, every little detail was taken care of, it was a perfect day!

The cake was sharp and sophisticated.  I loved the shiny cake topper. The cake topper was made by Bling Diva Designs. Definitely take some time and check out her custom shop! (Mental Note: I MUST START trying the cake!)

With excellent foresight into the weather here in the Ohio Valley, Megan and Victor were smart to have their wedding programs double as fans!

Their ceremony took place in the tented court yard at KYE’s.

The reception was full of energy and kiddos. Megan and the ring-bearer (Who was a HAM!) were playing games after dinner. It was such a cute moment!

Ferdinand’s Ball

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

Better late then never right? So back in April (The 29th) I photographed the first gala/ball of the Derby. It was dubbed the kickoff of the galas. The whole event as to benefit “Old Friends” (www.oldfriendsequine.org) ,a thoroughbred retirement facility here in Kentucky.

At first I was posted to the red carpet, I won’t post to many pictures from there, as it is just people standing in front of a banner.

The foodage was spectacular!

Tea Haus even made a special brew of their tea!

….it was called “Derby Blend”…predictable, but wonderful!

The gala founders even put together a silent auction.

The ladies from Courtney Clark from Cake Nouveau , was a doll! I adored her and her cake, couldn’t have been a nicer person. You would never know how famous she is by the way she acts!

Lt. Governor Daniel Mongiardo was there as well.

Maria Menoudos=VIP host/Cake Kisser.

Music was fab! Jockey Jean Cruguet (Seattle Slews Jockey) was a lively dancer.

I think my absolute favorite “celebrity”(I hadn’t met before) to be around was Miss Kentucky Mallory Ervin. She was a hoot and just sooo fun to be around! I caught her right after a stone fell from her crown. Luckily every stone that has ever fell from her crown, she has found.
