Bowling • A Creative Concept By Laura with Photography By J.Guess Photography

Monday, July 26th, 2010

I wish I could say that this was all my idea…it wasn’t Laura wanted to shoot at a Bowling alley in her Grandmom’s dresses. I loved it, we kinda did a retro/funky throwback. It was a blast! Brandy Doyle even went with us and touched everything up!

Ok. This may not be the most perfect shot ever….but I loved the bowling balls idea. It took a bit for us to get the balls to balance on the finger holes!

Before anyone ask….she was not on the lane, there was actually a walk way between the lanes, we used this to our benefit. Jessica was so wonderful to work with.

Yep I had to torture her a bit. She was up for being a pretzel!

Laura • A Fun Fashion Bridal at Sunny Acres

Saturday, July 24th, 2010

When the opportunity came up to photograph Laura again…of course I said YES! It was even more of a bonus that she brought her friend Jessica. I have two wedding dresses I have been trying to destroy for months! My good friend and fellow photographer Missy Brown joined us at the shoot, soooooo be on the look out for her images as well. I am sure you can also find her on Facebook! That day wore me out, but was a blast!

We were also blessed with beautiful flowers from Chris Dayton of Colonial Design and Florist – Flowers.

Brandy Doyle rocked out the hair as usual. We wanted a more natural bohemian look compared to last time when it was very high fashion.

I love how this images is very soft yet has dramatic lights and and shapes of the trees.

Colonial Designs of St. Matthews were just soooo fabulous!

Jessica who is still new in the industry was sooo wonderful. She takes directions like a champ! (You will see more of Jessica in the next post! )

Water • A Creative Concept By J.Guess Photography

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

I am always thinking of wild and odd things to photograph. So yep, this is my twist on the “Water Concept”, it seems everyone is photographing something in the water this summer. But, who can say that they photographed in a muddy creek  that had risen almost two feet within the hour before the shoot. Lets not forget the mini logs floating by…..

Andrea Ahl did an amazing job with hair and makeup.

And as with many of my shoots, thanks to Sunny Acres Farm (My Second Home.) for letting me run amuck!

I would like to mention that I was also in the water with Jennifer….

Oh and in addition the the wonderful Jennifer Pohl, I had a lovely frog model, whom even looked at the camera!

Mister (Maybe Miss?) frog had to get his/her own picture too!

I actually can’t decide on favs…..Jennifer and Andrea just were rock stars!
