As a Member of Jefferson County Farm Bureau I am as involved in many local agriculture events in Kentucky.
Jefferson County’s only FFA club (Seneca High School) invited Goldsmith Elementary to come and learn about many farm animals. The FFA members along side several Jefferson County Farm Bureau members educated several hundred students.
We were blessed to have Kentucky Kate, she is a fiber glass milking cow. This amazing tool allows for kids to learn about the dairy industry and not have to leave their school!
We had several animals the children were allowed to pet and learn about.

- Ed The Mini Donkey
- Savanah The Beef Cow
- June The Horse
- Herbert The Peacock
- Snoopy the Goat
- Sheep (I can’t remember their names!!!)
- Many un-named chicks
- and
- a Pig!
It was a fun day had by all!
